An additional quote from the "letter never sent" (except to the OIG). Note that "DER" is a somewhat outdated term at Boeing after the corrupt FAA's TAD (as noted on this site) gave BCA's engineering department, whose "competence" and "ethics" (actually the lack thereof) is described below, "DOA" (Delegation Option Authorization) delegation (I believe, approximately in November, 2004) without the required merit. Now only Boeing decides if a DER (now an "AR," or Authorized Representative) is qualified to be in that position instead of Boeing having to have such personnel approved also by the FAA, as was required before the undeserved (in my informed opinion) DOA delegation of BCA. Now the below described DER (who "somehow" passed through the "cracks" of FAA approval) no longer requires that approval. Now "DERs" (ARs) will ultimately be less qualified than the one below because of the removal of the extra "independent" (in a purely hypothetical uncorrupted FAA) oversight of the qualifications of these individuals with safety critical jobs. Now the department at Boeing that that oversees this DOA delegation will allow the whole process to be further corrupted (than described below) by Boeing's placing the importance of Cost, Schedule, and the "Leaning out" of all processes and procedures, no matter how safety critical or regulatorily required they are, over all other considerations. With the current corrupt "let's protect Boeing from real oversight and any real consequences for their habitual noncompliances" FAA, Boeing does not have to worry about losing DOA designation, or loss of even further levels of delegation no matter how bad their compliance with DOA procedures gets, just as they never have had to worry about losing their PC no matter how bad the rollerstamping going on in Boeing's quality system that makes a mockery of that PC gets, even when people like me report such fraud to the FAA. Only a reformed FAA (via the OIG's investigation) and a pulling of all ill gotten (from a corrupt FAA that at present will give Boeing almost anything it wants, regardless of the propriety or even legality of it) FAA delegations from Boeing (which, in my experience, is all of those delegations), and then making Boeing actually earn those delegations before they are given, will fix these past and present "working together" frauds of Boeing and the FAA. So, what can you do to fix the case of unethical/incompetent/corrupt BCAG DERs? Much, I believe, as your offices must approve them. Comments are closed.
