Asking and getting answers for the above questions should lead you to the correct conclusion on whether this Engineering change should be approved by you or not. I suspect that it was never approved by you, but that a DER approved the change. I have recently learned, as I will go into some detail on later, that even DERs at BCAG are addled with the "unable to Engineer their way out of a wet paper bag given a pad of paper, pencil, and box-cutter knife" syndrome I have told you affects Engineers here at Boeing. Two out of two DERs I have crossed paths with had that syndrome in spades. So, in my opinion, even DER approval is meaningless at BCAG. Only your entirely independent and competent FAA Engineer’s approval means anything. The corruption I have detailed within BCAG QA and Manufacturing Management has corrupted Engineering also. Because of that, the lives of the public are at even greater risk than I before have acknowledged in my report.
